As discussed in my pages on Herbs and Gemstones, the use of gemstones and herbs have long been used for healing the mind, body and spirit.  I have found that gems and herbs work most effectively when used together in a complimentary fashion: herbs used internally in teas and infusions; as incense, in ritual baths, and carried on the person in pouches -- along with complimentary gems carried on the person to intensify and enhance the effect.

Healing  - Spiritual, Emotional and Physical
As discussed in my pages on Herbs and Gemstones, the use of gemstones and herbs have long been used for healing the mind, body and spirit.  I have found that gems and herbs work most effectively when used together in a complimentary fashion: herbs used internally in teas and infusions; as incense, in ritual baths, and carried on the person in pouches -- along with complimentary gems carried on the person to intensify and enhance the effect.
However, there are other methods of healing the body, mind and spirit.   Those I will discuss involve the aura.  The aura is an electrical magnetic energy which emanates from the human body, and from all other living things as well.   The recognition of the aura dates back through the ages.  In early Christian art through to the Middle Ages, the aura was depicted as a "halo" around the head of those persons believed to be "holy," "inspired by God," or having great spiritual power.  In Moslem art, it was depicted as a ring of flames around the heads of the prophets.  The aura can be seen and felt easily by many people -- for others, it requires a bit of effort and practice.

When the body, mind or spirit are not functioning properly, the vibration from the aura will reflect that misallignment.  (As all plant matter and rocks (gemstones) emanate their own specific vibrations, when used in healing they serve to positively alter the vibrations of the human body -- thus bringing about the emotional, spiritual or physical healing.  Herbs used internally obviously work in a distinctly different manner.)

One of the most commonly used methods of auric healing involves visualizing a specific healing color around the afflicted person.  This is commonly known as Color Healing.  The color depends on the person's afflication.    See my chart below regarding the Colors for more information.  It is entirely possible to utilize this method without them being present, preferably while looking at a recent photograph of the person while visualizing.  For this reason, it is a safe, easy and popular method of healing assistance, particularly for those whose loved ones are not nearby.  This mode of healing is normally utilized to compliment and assist in healing, in conjunction with the care of a medical practitioner's advice and treatment; when the care of a medical practitioner is not resolving the affliction, and in those situations when, for whatever reason, the afflicted person does not wish to consult with medical practitioners for care and treatment.

Properties of the Colors

Light waves travel through the air in specific vibratory rates.  Each color of the spectrum can be measured at a specific wavelength.  It is believed that our bodies inherently select and absorb those colors of the spectrum from the sunlight which are needed for harmony and balance.  These principles define the study of chromopathy, or color healing.  The following is a list of the colors of the spectrum and some of their healing properties.

Blood disorders and diseases, such as anemia and liver infections.
Same as red, but more mellow.  Also for the respiratory system, e.g., asthma and bronchitis.
Digestive system, menstrual problems.  Also for depression, lethargy, and apathy.
Green is an all-purpose healing color, for all ailments.  Particularly good for heart
problems, migraines, and colds.
Infections and inflammations, cuts and burns.
For soothing emotional blocks and disorders, fears, and for problems with the eyes.
Mental disorders, and the nervous system.
